How can psychotherapy help you?

You may navigate many parts of your life successfully.  However, there will be times when you struggle with a particular challenge in life.  That could be a bereavement, a relationship problem or a change in work or family circumstances, for example.  Or you might suffer with a mental health problem such as depression, anxiety or trauma.  Or maybe you are interested in better understanding your thoughts, feelings, motivation and behaviour.

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy used to treat psychological, emotional and mental health issues.  It can help you understand, work through and manage these and many other challenges.

My integrative approach

I am an integrative psychotherapist.  This means I combine different theoretical perspectives and evidence-based clinical approaches into my psychotherapy practice.  I treat every individual as an individual, and we will always focus on your goals and apply what works best for you.  Whatever approach we take, I emphasise the importance of the psychotherapeutic relationship as a mechanism for change.

How it works.

STEP 1 - Let’s talk

To contact me, fill in the form here or call me on 01962 435 060.  We can then discuss your goals for psychotherapy and explore how we can work together.  If you’d like to proceed, we can then agree how many sessions you would like to start with.

STEP 2 - Therapy

Therapy is delivered online via a video call or face-to-face in Winchester. Sessions can be booked in blocks of three, six or more sessions.  Our first session will be a detailed assessment.  We’ll discuss your background, your current life and your goals for psychotherapy. We will then start weekly personal psychotherapy in 55 minute sessions. All therapy sessions are secure and confidential.

STEP 3 - Review, adjust & re-engage

Throughout therapy I will encourage feedback from you: what is helping? what is not helping? are we achieving your goals.? Every 6 sessions we will take time to review progress in more detail.

Book a discovery call.

On this confidential call you can find out if psychotherapy is the right option for you while finding out more about my approach. Complete the form on my contact page and I will then call you on the number provided, or if you would prefer, I’ll provide a zoom link.
I look forward to speaking with you soon.
